Wild Minds – Nature Connection Through Qigong Blog Series (Week 3)

🌿 WEEK 3: The Meridians – Energy Pathways of the Body

Welcome to Week 3 of our Qigong journey with Wild Minds Nature Connection CIC. This week, we explore the meridians—the invisible energy pathways that carry Qi throughout the body.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, meridians are like rivers of energy. They connect your organs, muscles, and tissues, allowing Qi to flow freely and nourish every part of you. There are 12 primary meridians, each linked to a vital organ, and 8 extraordinary meridians that act as reservoirs and regulators.

When Qi flows smoothly through the meridians, we feel:

  • Energised and clear-headed
  • Emotionally balanced
  • Physically well

When Qi is blocked, we may feel:

  • Tired or sluggish
  • Emotionally stuck
  • Physically tense or in pain

At Wild Minds, we don’t try to “fix” or “force” anything. We simply invite awareness. Through gentle movement, breath, and nature connection, we allow Qi to flow again.

This week, try:

  • Tapping or brushing your limbs to stimulate meridians.
  • Moving slowly and mindfully, noticing sensations.
  • Visualising energy flowing like water through your body.

🌳 Nature Connection Tip:
As you walk outdoors, imagine your feet drawing Qi up from the Earth and your breath guiding it through your body. Trees, streams, and wind all have their own flow—let them remind you of yours.

🌀 Reflection Prompt:
Where does energy feel stuck in your body? What helps it move again?
