We adore working with Wild Minds

We adore working with Wild Minds and believe that what they stand for – nature and wellbeing – fits in perfectly with our mission and also the South Derbyshire motto of ‘Our Earth, our Wealth’. Wild Minds draw from the earth and from our Grade II listed kiln, and create a calming atmosphere which makes it the perfect place to practice indoor Yoga and T’ai Chi in it’s many, many forms. Becki and Jodi are so warm and welcoming to all of our visitors and we look forward to continuing to work together in the future to promote wellbeing in museums.

Definitely recommend them

Wild Minds were absolutely amazing, we brought a group of around 20 families, with toddlers and they all had a great time. Jodi and Becki made the sessions very hands-on and we had lots of smiling faces and mucky hands....just the way it should be! Most definitely recommend them, see you again soon!

Reliable

It was always our aim to integrate wellbeing aspects into our outdoor education offering, and Wild Minds have added a whole new dynamic to our forest school programmes with art therapy, forest bathing and mindfulness. We love working with Wild Minds for their expertise, experience and reliability. They are happy to integrate with our schools programmes and work as an extension of our team.

Woodland Elders

We were looking for someone to come to our Care Home to do some gentle chair exercises with our residents. When I heard about Wild Minds Elders I knew this would be a good fit for the Home. Becki attends the Home every Monday to do Tai Chi with the residents. She takes the session at their pace and adapts the moves for the different capabilities. She works with all our residents including those on our dementia unit and provides one-to-one sessions with the bedbound residents. Becki always has a smile on her face and even though attendance numbers vary on a weekly basis, her enthusiasm never wains. We are all hoping for some nicer weather so we can take the residents into the garden so they can enjoy their exercise out in nature.

Teaching facts in interesting ways

As a support worker I really enjoyed going out with Becki and Jodi. The knowledge they have is amazing and they can teach you so many facts in such a fun and interesting way. I find the ladies to be lovely company and good fun to be around. They have both worked fantastically with a range of our service users who have varying levels of need. Our service users have always had positive comments after going out with Wild Minds and like to tell us all of the things that they have learned. They have really helped to encourage individuals to get involved in physical activities that they wouldn’t otherwise do. I would like to participate in more of Wild Mind’s activities; they have such a kind and caring manner with people and nature. I think both children, adults and the ‘more mature’ would benefit from spending time with Becky and Jodie. You leave the activities feeling relaxed, calm, and fulfilled. I would recommend them to people of all ages and abilities.

A feeling of Zen

Jodi and Becki from Wild Minds have provided excellent Meditation sessions for us as part of our Wellbeing programme.  The event has been a great success, with everyone feeling refreshed and relaxed.  Staff feedback described it as “excellent”, “feel zen now” and “very relaxing”.  They both put everyone at ease, as most hadn’t done it before, they were very accommodating; explaining alternative ways of visualising and demonstrating techniques that can be taken away to practice at home.  We look forward to working together on future events this year; T’ai-Chi and Yoga!
