We are extremely proud to have formed a Community Interest Company (CIC). Wild Minds Nature Connection CIC (WMNCCIC) will run with the purpose of making nature connection accessible to as many people as possible by removing as many barriers to accessing support through nature as much as we can. Through funding and fundraising, we will be able to offer reduced cost and no cost sessions for those who need them.
We will continue to run our usual sessions and events and will add to this with additional support for those who may have barriers to being able to access nature for their improved mental and physical health & wellbeing. WMNCCIC is hoping to create a community of nature lovers, protectors and users who will leave a legacy of stories, experiences and memories that will last a life time.
Our aim is to get the whole National Forest Community out in nature, enjoying it and connecting with it and each other. We will continue to offer our down to earth and real life experiences for all and our love and passion for nature and nature connection will be at the heart of everything we do.
WMNCCIC has plans to increase our availability for Green Social Prescriptions and welcome contact from local Social Prescribers. We will also be looking to work with more local charities and community groups to increase engagement and use of nature for health.
If anyone has any ideas on how we could support a particular part of the community, please contact us or email us on contact@wildmindsnature.co.uk
