Nurturing Curiosity, Confidence, and Connection
At Wild Minds Nature Connection CIC, we believe that learning should be joyful, meaningful, and rooted in real-life experiences. Our Home Education programme is designed to support families who are choosing a different path—one that honours each child’s unique rhythm, interests, and potential.
A Child-Centred Approach
Our sessions are guided by the principles of child-led learning, inspired by Forest School pedagogy and our own Wild Minds ethos. We create a safe, nurturing environment where children are free to explore, play, and discover at their own pace. Whether they’re building dens, identifying wildlife, crafting with natural materials, learning “traditional” education subjects or simply sitting quietly under a tree, every moment is valued as part of their learning journey.
We recognise that every child is different, and our facilitators are skilled at tuning into individual needs, supporting emotional wellbeing, and encouraging self-expression. There are no tests, no pressure—just space to grow.
Learning for Life
Our home education sessions are rich in opportunities to develop practical skills, ecological awareness, and resilience. Children gain knowledge in areas such as:
- Nature identification and seasonal cycles
- Bushcraft and outdoor safety
- Teamwork and communication
- Creative arts and storytelling
- Emotional literacy and mindfulness
- STEM, humanities & more…….
These experiences help build a strong foundation for lifelong learning, equipping young people with the confidence and capabilities they’ll carry into adulthood.
Creating Family Memories
We know that home education is often a whole-family journey, and we welcome parents, carers, and siblings to be part of the experience. Our sessions are designed to foster connection—not just with nature, but with each other. Whether it’s sharing a campfire story, cooking together outdoors, or celebrating the changing seasons, these are the moments that become cherished family memories. We run home education on 2 formats:
- mixed family groups
- Individual family groups
Join Our Community
Wild Minds is more than a programme—it’s a community. We offer a warm welcome to all families, whether you’re new to home education or have been on this path for years. Our woodland spaces are inclusive, accessible, and alive with possibility.
