🌿 WEEK 5: The Upper Dantian – Mind and Spirit
📝 Blog Post: Awakening Clarity – Exploring the Upper Dantian
Welcome to Week 5 of our Qigong journey with Wild Minds Nature Connection CIC. This week, we explore the Upper Dantian, located in the centre of the forehead, just behind the “third eye” point.
The Upper Dantian is the centre of Shen, or spirit. It’s linked to:
- Mental clarity
- Intuition
- Spiritual awareness
- Connection to higher consciousness
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this energy centre is associated with the Heaven element, representing lightness, wisdom, and expansion. When the Upper Dantian is balanced, we feel clear-headed, inspired, and connected to something greater than ourselves.
At Wild Minds, we approach this centre with curiosity and gentleness. You don’t need to be “spiritual” to connect with your Upper Dantian. You just need to be present, open, and willing to explore.
This week, try:
- Third eye meditation: breathe into the space between your eyebrows.
- Gentle upward movements: visualise energy rising from belly to forehead.
- Connecting with sky energy: lie on the grass and gaze at the clouds.
🌳 Nature Connection Tip:
Find a quiet spot outdoors. Sit or lie down. Look up at the sky. Breathe slowly. Imagine your thoughts softening and your awareness expanding.
🌀 Reflection Prompt:
What helps you feel clear and connected? Can you sense your own inner wisdom?
