Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing or Shinrin Yoku was developed in Japan, by the Government, in the 1980’s. Shinrin Yoku (森林浴 ) literally translates to Forest Bathe, hence Forest Bathing. It was a response to an overworked and highly stressed population. What the Government decided to do was prescribe time in nature to help reduce stress, anxiety and blood pressure. Shinrin Yoku encourages you to immerse your senses in the natural world around you and be in the moment, focussing on what is around you, not what is to come or what has already passed.

So leave your phone at home and join us for a Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) session. We complete our sessions in various woodland and natural locations to help improve mood, take a break from the stresses of everyday life and find joy and peace in the natural world.

Groups sizes will never be more than 10 people, to ensure a peaceful, relaxed and friendly experience for all.

Our Forest Bathing sessions run regularly and must booked in advance using our contact form or through our Facebook page. Further details will be provided once booking confirmed.

Cost is £5 per person and sessions last 1 hour, usually 1 – 2 mile walks (longer walks are available).

Outdoor clothing is required
